João Canada tornou-se reconhecido internacionalmente através das suas actuações na década de oitenta, actuando em vários países realizando carreira em Espanha, Alemanha, França, Itália, etc. A sua formidável técnica, fê-lo actuar nas melhores casas da Europa, tendo participado no mundial de DJ’s que incluiu pela primeira e única vez nas suas finais, o famosíssimo e prestigioso ROYAL ALBERT HALL de Londres, com actuação das eliminatórias respectivas, a terem lugar no não menos famoso, Astoria Theatre de Londres. Em 1985 João Canada foi Campeão da Alemanha de DJ’s, e por duas vezes mais, sagrou-se Campeão Nacional de DJ's, nos anos de 1987 e 1990, no Porto e Algarve, respectivamente! Na década de oitenta João Canada para além dos títulos de reconhecimento nacional e internacional como DJ, teve importante influencia em novos valores que despontavam na época, sendo talvez o caso mais mediático até à data, entre outros na Europa, do actual mundialmente conhecido, DJ VIBE, que chegou a visitá-lo a Benidorm, Espanha!

John Canada is an International DJ, that during the 80's made a fenomenal career all over Europe!
Starting his career in beautiful island of Madeira, and made a name for himself working for a decade in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, etc, John Canada became one of the most popular DJ's in Europe, and the number one Dee Jay in his country, for years!
His top perfomances during the 80's allowed him to play in Europes best clubs and perfoming at DMC CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS at Astoria Theatre/World Famous Royal Albert Hall, in London, England! In 1985 DJ John Canada won an important contest in West-Germany, being the "Best Mix" DJ of GERMANY!
In 1987 and 1990, John Canada wins Portuguese DJ Championship, and represents Portugal in the WORLD DMC MIXING CHAMPIONSHIP, making a lot of top international friends (DJ's and Artists) all over the World, meeting people like John "Jellybean" Benitez, Mantronik, Jazzy B, Soul 2 Soul, Simon Harris, Rebel MC, Public Enemy, Run DMC, Lisa Stansfield, James Brown, Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi, Bob Sinclar, Michael Gray, Paul Oakenfold, Sash, Pete Tong, Ben Liebrand, Sanny X, Toni Prince, Paul Dakeyne, and many more...Born in Madeira Island in 1959, John decided to start his career, first with Radio in 1973, at the age of 13, (very unusual at that age, being the youngest Radio DJ in Portugal)... But his love for music, made him accept an invitation from a DJ friend, that knowing João's radio popularity, invited him to play music for young people at a local Discotheque... John became not only the most popular DJ in Portugal during the 80's, but also, one of the finest international DJ's, being involved in the music and radio business, for over 30 years now...  more in Historic
